to go, walk, proceed, travel, wander, move (also applied to inanimate objects; with acc. or instr. of the road acc. of the distance, and acc., rarely loc. or dat., of the place or object gone to; with or scil.पद्भ्याम्, ‘to go on foot’; with उपानद्भ्याम्id.lit. ‘with shoes’; with धुर्यैस्, ‘to travel by means of beasts of burden’; with परमांगतिम्, ‘to attain supreme bliss’; with शरणम् and acc., ‘to take refuge with’; with मूर्ध्ना पादौ and gen., ‘to prostrate one's self at anyone's feet’; with अन्तम् and gen., ‘to come to the end of’; with अन्येन, अन्यत्र or अन्यतस्, ‘to go another way or elsewhere’; with अधस्, either ‘to sink down [to hell]’ or ‘to be digested [as food]’; with पुनर्, ‘to return to life’), [RV.] &c. &c.;

व्रज्     

व्रज् [vraj]   I. 1 P. (व्रजत)
To go, walk, proceed; नाविनीतै- र्व्रजेद् धुर्यैः [Ms.4.67.]
To go to, approach, visit; मामेकं शरणं व्रज [Bg.18.66.]
To depart, retire, withdraw.
To pass away (as time); इयं व्रजति यमिनी त्यज नरेन्द्र निद्रारसम् [Vikr.11.74.]
To attain to, go to the state of.
To obtain, gain. -II. 1 U. (व्राजयति-ते)
To go.
To prepare, decorate. (This root is used much in the same way as गम् or या q. v.)
