to go, walk, proceed, travel, wander, move (also applied to inanimate objects; with acc. or instr. of the road acc. of the distance, and acc., rarely loc. or dat., of the place or object gone to; with or scil.पद्भ्याम्, ‘to go on foot’; with उपानद्भ्याम्same meaning as that of a preceding word.'">id.lit. ‘with shoes’; with धुर्यैस्, ‘to travel by means of beasts of burden’; with परमांगतिम्, ‘to attain supreme bliss’; with शरणम् and acc., ‘to take refuge with’; with मूर्ध्ना पादौ and gen., ‘to prostrate one's self at anyone's feet’; with अन्तम् and gen., ‘to come to the end of’; with अन्येन, अन्यत्र or अन्यतस्, ‘to go another way or elsewhere’; with अधस्, either ‘to sink down [to hell]’ or ‘to be digested [as food]’; with पुनर्, ‘to return to life’), [RV.] &c. &c.;
