To touch; स्पृशन्नपि गजो हन्ति [H.3.14;] कर्णे परं स्पृशति हन्ति परं समूलम् [Pt.1.34.]
To lay the hand on, stroke gently with, touch; हस्तेन पस्पर्श तदङ्गमिन्द्रः [Ku.3.22.]
To adhere or cling to, come in contact with.
To wash or sprinkle with water; खानि चैव स्पृशेदद्भिरात्मानं शिर एव च [Ms. 2.6.]
