In the first clause of this sense the verb, although intransitive, may sometimes seem to take an object; but the word which it assumes into construction marks, not the object of its action, but rather the occasion, instance, bearing, or respect. Ex. मी वाद हरलों, खेळ -बाजी -रुपया -पण &c. हरलों.
