   2. light, lustre, splendour.
  mn.  ( -र्हिः)
   1. sacrificial grass, (Poa cynosuroides.)
   2. sacrifice, oblation.
   3. Granthiparṇa, a vegetable perfume.
    E. वृह् to increase, aff. इसि; or वर्ह् or बर्ह् to excel, &c., with the same aff., in the latter case this word and its corresponding ones are written with an initial consonant बर्हिस्, &c.
