To jump up, dance, spring; आप्लुत्य पदान्यष्टौ Mb.; (रथं) आपुप्लुवे सिंह इवाचलाग्रम्.
To bathe, wash, immerse oneself (fig. also); प्रयागे आप्लुत्य गात्राणि Mb.; आप्लुत्याकाशगङ्गायाम् ibid; [Ms.7.216,11.22.] -Caus. (प्लावयति)
To cause to be washed or bathed; आप्लावयत गात्राणि [Mb.]
To wash, wet, sprinkle; अन्न- माप्लाव्य वारिणा [s.3.244,11.98.]
To overflow, overwhelm, inundate, flood over.
To set in commotion.
