विलुप्

(Ā.) to fall to pieces, be ruined, disappear, [Kauś.] ; [ChUp.] :
Pass.-लुप्यते, to be torn away or carried off, be impaired or destroyed, perish, be lost, disappear, fail, [AitBr.] &c. &c.:
Caus.-लोपयति (°ते), to tear or carry away, withhold, keep back, suppress, extinguish, destroy, [MBh.] ; [Kām.] ; [MārkP.]

To seize, plunder, rob, carry off; उपकारं ध्वजीकृत्य सर्वमेवाव- लुम्पति [H.2.97.]
To mar, spoil, impair.
(a) To destroy, ruin, cause to disappear; प्रियमत्यन्तविलुप्तदर्शनम् [Ku.4.2] 'for ever lost view'. (b) To eat up; क्रव्याद्भि- रङ्गलतिका नियतं विलुप्ता [U.3.28;] [Mk.1.9.]
To wipe or rub off. -Pass. To be destroyed or lost, to perish, disappear; जराविलुप्तमानावमानचिन्तः [Dk.]
