   withered, decayed, rotten; शीर्णं च पतितं भूमौ पर्णं समुपयुक्तवान् [Mb.3.38.23.]
   dry, sere.
   shattered, torn; shivered; क्रमशीर्णाकुलमूलसंततिः [Ki.2.5.]
   thin, emaciated; (see शॄ).
   small, slender.
   fallen, dropped; स्वयंशीर्ण [Ms.6.21.]
-र्णम्   A kind of perfume.
   Comp. अङ्घ्रिः, पादः epithets of yama.
   of the planet saturn.
-पर्णम्   a withered leaf; (so शीर्णपत्रम्). (-र्णः) the Nimba tree.-वृन्तः a water-melon.
