कण्

to sound, cry, [Dhātup. xiii, 6] ;
to go, approach, [Dhātup. xix, 32] : cl. 10. P.काणयति, to wink, close the eye with the lids or lashes, [Dhātup. xxx, 41] :
Caus.काणयति (aor.अचीकणत् and अचकाणत्, [Pat.] on [Pāṇ. 7-4, 3] ), to sigh, sound;

कण्     

कण् [kaṇ]   I. 1 P. (कणति, कणित)
To sound or cry (as in distress); moan. कविता श्वः, रणिता श्वः Mbh. on [P.]
To become small.
To go or approach. -II. 1 P. or -Caus.
To wink, to close the eye with the lids or lashes.
To sigh, sound.
