सम्मार्जन

A dictionary, Marathi and English

    cleaning or cleansing. The word is used esp. of the various operations of sweeping, sprinkling, scouring, cowdung- smearing &c. in the routine of household-duties.

  f.  ( - नी) A broom.
    E. सम् before मृज् to clean, aff. ल्यु; ङीप् being added in the fem. form.
