Come loss, come gain, I must do business. A phrase similar to उदीम करतां सोळा बारा and numerous others in use amongst speculators and traders. Ex. तू तर करायाला लाग लागो भागो दिवाळी पाहतच आहें. Others understand the phrase differently:--लागणें To hit, touch, strike the mark, be effectual; भागणें. To fail, miss, break down, fall short or be smashed; and दिवाळी Festivities; i.e. come success, come failure, it is well; come prosperity or come ruin, I shall keep my holiday. A phrase therefore expressing hard indifference and doggedness of purpose.
