चक्रवाल  m.  ( -लः) A range of mountains supposed to encircle the earth, and to be the limit of light and darkness.
  n.  ( - लं) The sensible horizon.
    E. चक्र a region, वल् to encompass, and अण् affix; girding the world; or वाड to emerge, &c. affix अच् what emerges (from darkness), in the shape of a wheel; ड changed to ल also चक्रवाड.
