towards the fulfilment of some imposition or some land-settlement of the authorities inequitable or inconvenient in its bearing or form; as where a fine is fixed equally on several persons, their agreement to pay it in proportions determined by themselves; or where a land-survey has become unequal, the making of a new and loose survey by the Ryots so as to apportion the fixed assessment more equally.
