श्रौषट्

श्रौषट्  n. ind. (prob. for श्रोषत्Subj. of √ 1.श्रु, ‘may he i.e. the god, hear us!’) an exclamation used in making an offering with fire to the gods or departed spirits (cf.वषट्, वौषट्), [RV.] ; [TS.] ; [ŚBr.] (cf.[Pāṇ. 8-2, 91] ).
