श्रौषट्

श्रौषट्  n.  ind. ( prob. for श्रोषत् Subj. of √ 1. श्रु, ‘may he i.e. the god, hear us!’) an exclamation used in making an offering with fire to the gods or departed spirits ( cf. वषट्, वौषट्), [RV.]; [TS.]; [ŚBr.] ( cf. [Pāṇ. 8-2, 91]).
