to touch, grasp, seize, [RV.] &c. &c.;

to examine, consider, inquire into, ib.;

to observe, discover, [BhP.] :

Pass. -मृश्यते (with पवनैस्), to be touched i.e. fanned by the wind, [Suśr.];

to be considered, [MBh.] :

Intens. -मर्मृशत्, to encompass, clasp, embrace, [RV.]
