अरण     

 न. आरण्यक म्हणून जो वेदाचा भाग आहे त्यास भिक्षुक लोक चुकीनें म्हणतात . [ सं . आरण्यक ]
 न. ( भिक्षुकांत रुढ ). आरण्यक ; ग्रंथाचा एक भाग . उदा . ऐतरेय आरण्यक . तैत्तिरीय आरण्यक ; बृहदारण्यक . इ . ( सं .)
