to attain, obtain, meet with, find, recover, [Rājat.] ; [Kathās.] :
Caus.-सादयति (ind.p.-साद्यq.v.), to come to, to approach, advance to, arrive at, fall or get into, reach, attain, incur, [MBh.] ; [Kāv.] &c.;
meet, encounter (a friend or enemy), attack, assail, ib.;
to hit (as an arrow), [MBh.] ;
to accrue to (acc.), [Rājat.]
