श्लेष्मन्  n. n. a band, cord, string, [AitBr.] ; [Kāṭh.]
lime, glue &c., [Āpast.]

Phlegmatic humour; गुडेन वर्धितः श्लेष्मा सुखं वृद्ध्या निपात्यते [Pt.3.62.]
Mucus (of the eye); स सुप्त इव चाण्डालः श्लेष्मापिहितलोचनः [Mb.12.141.44.] -n. A band, cord. -Comp.
-अतिसारः   dysentery produced by vitiated phlegm.
-ओजस्  n. n. the phlegmatic humour.
-कटाहकः   a spittoon.
