a hedge, fence, an enclosed piece of ground or place enclosed for partic. cultivation ( esp. that of the Piper Betel, which in many parts of India is surrounded and screened by mats), [Mn.]; [MBh. &c.]

Cultivation (esp. that of the Piper Betel). -Comp.
