‘to see’ [Goldst.];
perhaps = √ उन्द्, ‘to drop?’ (the meaning ‘to be powerful’ seems to be given by native lexicographers merely for the etymology of the word इन्द्रq.v.), [Dhātup. iii, 26] ; [Nir.] ; [Vop.]
