अभि-प्र-√ स्था   ( aor. Subj. 2. pl. -स्थात; perf. 3. pl. -तस्थुः)

to start or advance towards, reach, [RV.]; [AV.] &c.;

to surpass, have the precedence of (with or without acc.), [RV. i, 74, 8 and x, 65, 15];

( cf. अति-प्र-√ स्था) :

Caus. to drive (as the cattle to pasture), [ChUp.]
