अभिपत्

To fall upon, attack, assail; यन्ता गजस्याभ्यपतद्- गजस्थम् [R.7.37;] [Dk.62,7,96;] [Ki.7.19.]
To fall down; fall (as tears).
To fall into, enter or come into.
To overtake in flying.
To pass over, traverse.
To get back, withdraw, retire; अभिपतितु- मना लघुत्वभीतेः [Śi.7.51;] [Ki.1.54,]
(4 A.) To be lord or master of (Ved.). -Caus. To throw upon, throw down into; ज्वलनमभिपातयामि [Ve.6.]
