अभिनिविश्

अभि-नि-√ विश्   -विशते, to enter (with acc.), [Pāṇ. 1-4, 47] Sch.;
to disembogue (as a river) into (acc.), [BhP.] ;
to devote one's self entirely to (acc.), [Daś.] &c.:
Caus.-वेशयति, to cause to enter, lead into (acc.), [BhP.] ;
to cause to sit down upon (loc.), [Śiś.] ;
to cause any one to devote himself entirely to, [MBh.] &c., (with मनस्, or आत्मानम्) to devote one's attention to (loc.), [BhP.]

अभिनिविश् [abhiniviś]   6 A. अभिनिविशश्च (P.I.4.47)
(a) To enter into, be settled in; to occupy, set foot in. (b) To take possession of, resort to, be attached to (with acc.); अभिनिविशते सन्मार्गम् Sk. takes to, follows, a good path; सैव धन्या गणिकादारिका यामेवं भवन्मनोऽभिनिविशते [Dk.57,] [Mu. 5.12,] [Bk.8.8.] -Caus. To make one enter or occupy, lead, carry or conduct to; (fig.) apply, direct or turn (as mind, heart &c.) towards something; प्रतिबन्धवस्वपि विषयेषु अभिनिवेश्य [M.3,] [Śi.1.15.]
