अमन्द [amanda] a.  a. Not slow or dull, active, intelligent; मन्दोऽ- प्यमन्दतामेति संसर्गेण विपश्चितः [M.2.8.]
Sharp, strong, violent (wind &c.).
Not little, much, excessive, great, violent; अमन्दमददुर्दिन [U.5.5;] अमन्दमिलदिन्दिरे निखिल- माधुरी मन्दिरे [Bv.4.1;] ˚दष्टौष्ठकरावधूननम् [Ki.8.6] violently bit.
