हावक

हावक  m. 1.m. (fr.Caus.) the institutor of a sacrifice, [Siṉhâs.]
हावक  m. 2.m. a caller, summoner, (in nuptial ceremonies) one who summons the bride, an attendant on the bridegroom.
हावक   aहावनीय, हाविन् &c. See p.1294, cols. 1 and 2.

हावक     

हावकः [hāvakḥ]   1 One who calls or summons.
One who calls the bride.
हावु [हा 3 वु] An exclamation of joy; [T. Up.3.1.]
