सम्-उद्धरण  n.  n. the act of drawing well out or up, extricating, raising, lifting, [MBh.]; [Kāv.] &c.

2. Drawing up, raising, lifting, (as water from a well, &c.)
3. Eradicating a tree, &c. pull- ing up by the roots.
4. Extricating, lifting out.
5. Taking out from, as a part or share.
E. सम् and उद् before हृ to take, aff. ल्युट् .
