जामित्रम् [jāmitram]   The seventh zodiacal sign from the natal sign (लग्न); तिथौ च जामित्रगुणान्वितायाम् [Ku.7.1] (जामित्रं लग्नात् सप्तमं स्थानम् Malli.). NoteSome derive the word from जाया, because in astrology, the जामित्र sign indicates the future good-luck of one's wife (जायामित्रम् ?); but the word is obviously connected with the Greekdiametron. -Comp.
-वेधः   A variety of योग (Astronomical) when the moon is in the 7th house.
