1. A gem or precious stone brought from the Himalaya and Indus, described as of four sorts, white, pale yellow, red, and dark blue, perhaps varieties of a gate. 2. A kind of poison: see काकोल.
6. Smearing the body with un- guents.
E. गो the eye, मिद् to anoint, &c. affix अच् and कन्.
