गृष्टि

गृष्टि  f. f. a cow which has had only one calf, young cow, [RV. iv, 18, 10] ; [AV.] ; [Kauś.] ; [MBh.] &c.
वासिता-ग्°   (ifc. with names of other animals, [Pāṇ. 2-1, 65] ) any young female animal (e.g.; a young female elephant, [MBh. xi, 642] )

गृष्टि     

गृष्टिः [gṛṣṭiḥ]  f. f. [गृह्णाति सकृत् गर्भम्, ग्रह कर्तरि क्तिच् पृषो˚ [Tv.] ]
A cow which has had only one calf, a young cow (सकृत्प्रसूता गौः) आपीनभारोद्वहनप्रयत्नाद् गृष्टिः [R.2.18;] स्त्री तावत्संस्कृतं पठन्ती दत्तनवनस्या इव गृष्टिः सूसूशब्दं करोति [Mk.3.]
(In comp. with the names of other animals) Any young female animal; वासितागृष्टिः 'a young sheelephant.'
A woman who has one child only.
A bulbous plant (Mar. डुकरकंद); [Kau.A.2.1.] -m. A boar.
