udvōdhaka a S Indicative or predictive; as grass between the teeth of submission; meteors &c., of calamity: emblematic;--as the छत्री and ध्वज of royalty: symbolical;--as idols of the attributes of Deity: diagnostic or symptomatic;--as yawning, hot hands &c., of fever: monitory;--as age and infirmities, of death: stimulant or inflammatory;--as acids, of the palate; as beauty, of desire. This word, therefore, will serve to express Incentive, instigatory, excitant, provocative, typical, significative, representative, prefigurative, adumbrative &c. &c.
