2. A man of a low tribe or caste, the offspring of a Nishādi woman by a Chandāla, whose business is to attend in places where dead bodies are burned.
3. The name of a saint.
E. अन्त the end, अव and षो to cut, who pares the nails, &c. or षै to decay, णिनि aff.
