Shabda-Sagara

अनुमरण  n.  ( -णं) Dying with or following in death; the term usually denotes the cremation of a Hindu widow, whose husband's corpse is not on the spot, and with part of whose dress she, therefore, ascend the pile: this is prohibited to Brahman women. It is also synonimous
with सहमरण burning with the body.
E. अनु with or after, and मरण dying: dying with her husband.
