A gaunt or lean person, a starveling. 2 A dissolute and profligate fellow, a libertine or scamp. Pr. समुद्रास गेला लुका तों समुद्र झाला सुका The ordinary acceptation of लुका in this proverb is that of Wight or luckless wretch; but लुका, like many other foreign words, is, notwithstanding it has crept into a proverb, known neither correctly nor commonly.
