   A man who obtains a meal daily according to rotation or an appointed order from the houses of charitable people: also a recurring applicant for a meal from amongst the worshipers of Khanḍobá. see वार Sig. ii. and iii. hence 3 A sponger or dinner- leech. hence also one who takes any spell, bout, or recurring work.
