    E. दरिद्रा to be poor, ऊ Una- di affix, the form is irregular: by substituting the short vowel, and omitting the first र, this word and its compounds appear in a variety of forms, as दद्रु, दद्रू, दर्द्रू; also omitting the second र, दर्द्रू, &c. &c. q. v.
