भामिनीविलासे
रे चेतः कथयामि ते हितमिदं वृन्दावने चारय-
न्वृन्दूं कोऽपि गवां नवाम्बुदनिभो वन्धुर्न कार्यस्त्वया ।
सान्द्र्यामृतमुद्भिर्भिरभितः संमोह्य मन्दस्मितै-
रेष त्वां तव वल्लभांश्च विषयानाशु क्षयं नेष्यति ॥ १६ ॥
अव्याख्येयां वितराति परां प्रीतिमन्तरनिमश्ना
कण्ठे लग्ना हरति नितरां यान्तरध्वान्तजालम् ।
तां द्राक्षौधैरपि वहुमतां माधुरीमुद्रिरन्तीं
कृष्णेत्याख्यां कथय रसने यद्यसि त्वं रसज्ञा ॥ १७ ॥
सन्त्येवास्मिञ्नगाति वहवः पक्षिणो रम्यरूपा-
स्तेषां भध्ये मम तु महती वासना चातकेषु ।
वैरुध्र्वाक्षैरथ निजसखं नीरदं स्मारयन्भि-
স্चित्तारूढं भवति किमपि व्रह्म कृष्णाभिधानम् ॥ १८ ॥
16 O heart. here I say something beneficial to
thee: Thou shouldst not make friends with that some
one who resembles a fresh eloud, and who pastures a
herd of cattle in Vrndāva na. For, having hypnotized,
he will direetly destroy thee and thy dear pleasureable
objects with his gentle smiles which shower the nectar
of beauty all round.
17 If thou dost really appreciate ra (taste) then,
O tongue, utter the name or', which, when harboured
in the heart, bestows indeseribable uncommon pleasure;
when lodged in the throat, dispels entirely the cloud
of darkness within; and which discharges that sweet-
ness which is much respected even by heaps of grapes.
18 There are, no doubt (a ), many charming
birds in the world. But, from among them, I have a
