phaṭaphaṭaṇēṃ v impers To become open or broad daylight; to break or dawn glowingly: also फटफटीत उजेडणें in this sense. 2 with रात्र or काळोख To be dissipated or scattered--the night or darkness; as रात्र फटफटली, काळोख फटफटला. आभाळ फटफटलें or दिशा फटफटल्या The heavens are irradiated by the coming day: also दिवस फट- फटला The day is dawning brightly. आभाळ-ढग- पाऊस-धुकें-धुई &c. फटफटलें The sky, clouds, rain, mist are clearing off.
