उपरवः [uparavḥ]   A sort of hole used in the extraction of Soma juice (सोमाभिषबाङ्गो गर्ताकारो देशभेदः); name of certain holes which increase the sound of the stones when Soma juice is being extracted); cf. also पीठपादचतुष्टयाकारो बाहुमात्रो गर्तभेद उपरवः । ŚB. on [MS.11.4.52.]
