To infer, (as from some signs, premises &c.); अलिङ्गं प्रकृतिं त्वाहुलिंङ्गैरनुमिमीमहे Mb.; conclude, guess, conjecture; धूमादग्निमनुमाय [T. S.41;] पर्याकुलत्वान्मरुतां वेगभङ्गेऽनुमीयते [Ku.2.25;] अन्वमीयत शुद्धेति शान्तेन वपुषैव सा [R.15.77,17.11;] तेजोविशेषानुमितां दधानः 2.7,68;5.12; इह मदस्नपितैरनुमीयते सुरगणस्य गतं हरिचन्दनैः [Ki.5.47.]
